Grief Support Group
Six week grief support group for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one.
Hospice of Northeast Missouri, a service of Hannibal Regional, offers a six-week grief support group for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one. Groups are traditionally offered in the fall and spring.
Topics include: understanding the grief process; personal loss history and its impact on the grief process; distinguishing between grief and mourning; dealing with insensitive people; grief’s impact on a family system; self-care and observing special occasions and the holidays.
Jennifer Finley, Spiritual Care and Bereavement Coordinator for Hospice of Northeast Missouri, will facilitate the support group. The six-week support group will meet on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on October 5, October 12, October 19, October 26, November 2, and November 9.
The support group will be held at the Hospice of Northeast Missouri office located at 201 S. Baltimore Street in Kirksville, Missouri.
